2008Chardonnay Reserve
Our Reserve Chardonnay grapes come from the Mountain Valley Vineyards near Salem, OR in the Willamette Valley. These grapes are specially sourced to be the best of the best. Low crop yields ensure highly concentrated juice of superior quality. We use minimal oak with 10% in 1 year Hungarian Oak and the rest in neutral oak to accentuate the fruity characteristics. This wine possesses mango and apricot flavors with a good backing of acidity to make for a great food wine. We recommend seafood or chicken to pair with this luscious beauty.
2008Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir is an extremely luscious wine that exudes red berries, oak, earth and truffles. This was our first project wine and we couldn't be happier with the results. We aged this beauty in 1 and 2 year old Hungarian Oak, which imparts a great vanilla component to the wine. Grown exclusively at Mistletoe Vineyard in the Willamette Valley. This site is perfect for great Pinot Noir. Our Pinot Noir drinks amazingly on its own or paired with salmon, beef, or roasted pork.
2008Riesling
Our Riesling is grown in Oregon's famed Willamette Valley Near McMinnville. Grown on Jory soils at an elevation over 300 feet gives our Riesling a good minerality and also pronounced acidity. This is balanced with a touch of residual sugar of 1.5%. This wine was also matured in stainless steel to accentuate its fruity characteristics and dazzling nose. Our Riesling exhibits crisp apple, peach, and gooseberry flavors. Spicy dishes, as well as cheeses and salads pair well with this wine.
2008Merlot
Our Merlot was a bombshell in 2008. Grown in the Chehalem Hills of the Willamette Valley. 2008 was a spectacular year that allowed the grapes to get extremely concentrated. This wine is luscious and has tons of fruit flavors. We age our Merlot in 2 year old French Oak, which gives it a nice warm toastiness that is subtle and not overblown. This wine is juicy and plump with bing cherry, chocolate, and blackberries. This wine exhibits velvety tannins and pairs well with roasted meats and BBQ.
2008Chardonnay
Our Chardonnay is also sourced from the Red Hill Vineyard. Its Jory soils are perfect for fine wine grapes and accentuate the minerality of CHardonnay. Its mild climate averages 75 degrees and allows our grapes to slowly mature on the vine. We do 100% malo-lactic fermentation to reduce some of the acidity and give it that wonderful buttery accent that is distinctly Chardonnay. It is a rich wine with good gruit flavors of pineapple and pear. Enjoy with chicken, salmon or shellfish.
2008Marechal Foch
The 2008 vintage was one of the best ever seen in Oregon to date. Our Merechal Foch is a blockbuster wine that we picked at 24 Brix at Meridia Estate Vineyards near Silverton. The color is a spectacular deep red that Foch is known for. The grapes ripened to give our Foch a full bodied flavor of chocolate and some earthy components. The acidity balances the wine beautifully and really makes the wine great with all kinds of red meats. We used 1 year old Hungarian Oak to round out the flavors.
2008Gewurztraminer
Another of our wines sourced from the Red Hills Vineyard. This is a blockbuster wine exhibiting all of the wonderful traits of a truly great Gewurztraminer. This wine's great acidity balances well with a little bit of residual sugar. (2.4%) Done completely in stainless steel to show off the wonderful fruitiness and spiciness of Gewurztraminer. We feel we have achieved a racy wine that has a beautiful floral nose and flavor profiles of green apple and honey. Asian cuisine pairs well with this wine.
2006Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the cool climate of the Red Hill Vineyard. This unique growing area for red wines allows them to be nurtured slowly on the vine. Red Hill Cabernets have high acidity and therefore we use barrel fermentation and malo-lactic to give this wine finesse. Two year old and neutral French Oak impart mild oak flavors to the wine. This wine has hints of raspberry and plum. Enjoy with grilled meats or italian food with tomato sauces.
2008Pinot Blanc
Our Pinot Blanc grapes come from the Red Hill Vineyard, which is one of the highest growing sites in Oregon's Umpqua Valley. The grapes from this site are always characterized by good acidity and minerality. We use barrel fermentation to complete malo-lactic fermentation. We do this in neutral barrels and strive to emphasize the full fruit characters of this wine. This luscious full bodied wine exhibits hints of pear, apple and lemon. Pairs well with seafood, chicken or pasta with cream based sauces.
